Our parasol fabric is made from Sunbrella® 100% solution-dyed, Teflon®- coated acrylic yarn that helps to disperse water.

Cleaning your canopy (once on your parasol)

At the end of the season, we suggest you clean your parasol before storing it in a dry, well-ventilated area. Although Sunbrella® fabric will not mildew or mould, we recommend that the canopy is cleaned regularly to prevent the accumulation of dirt on the fabric.

We recommend two people undertake this task, especially with our larger parasols

1. Lower the canopy and remove the parasol from the table and base.

2. Open the parasol and place it carefully on its side on grass or other soft surface to prevent damage to the rib pockets.

3. Thoroughly hose down the canopy with clean water and then gently scrub each panel with warm soapy water, rinse with clean water and allow to air dry.

4. To remove mildew stains, prepare a mild solution of 8fl oz/227ml of bleach plus 3fl oz/60ml of natural soap per gallon/4.5 litres of water. Sponge it on the affected area and allow to soak in.

5. Gently scrub or sponge the affected area with the solution, thoroughly rinse with clean water and allow to air dry.
